Q: How do I get to Kingston?
A: Depending on where you are starting from in most cases you will pass through Toronto, Montreal or Ottawa. From Toronto you have the option of driving (approximately 2.5 hours), taking the train, or flying (Air Canada offers half a dozen flights daily from Pearson to Kingston). From Montreal and Ottawa the options are driving (approximately 3 hours and 2 hours respectively) or the train. Once in Kingston you’ll find that Queen’s is within walking distance of the hotels and the downtown restaurants. Hancock airport in Syracuse NY, is approximately 2h drive if you rent a vehicle as there is no bus, train or regularly scheduled shuttle service to kingston.
Q: What will the weather be like in early June?
June is one of the nicest months of the year in Kingston. You can expect the daily high to be around 20 degrees C (68 F), dropping to around 12 C (54 F) over night. We recommend a sweater or a light jacket for evening events.

Ticket refund policy is a 50% refund starting midnight EDT, May 14; and, 0% refund starting midnight EDT, May 31 (unless there are extenuating circumstances).
Q: What should I wear to dinner at Old Fort Henry?
The reception at Fort Henry will be hosted outdoors, on the original cobblestone square under a tent. For a worry free evening, we’d suggest you leave behind your high heels.
Drinks and appetizers will begin at 6:00 pm. Shuttle buses from the Biosciences building will be provided to and from Fort Henry, beginning at 5:30 pm and ending at 8:45 pm. Please wear a sweater in case of a cool breeze off the lake.
Q: When is the Boat Cruise?
The boat will leave Wednesday at 6:00 pm The dock is a 10 minute walk from the Biosciences building. Please wear a sweater in case of a cool breeze on the water.
Q: When should I park?
The City of Kingston has metered parking spots on-streets all around Queen’s Campus. They range from two to three hour maximums and cost $1 to $1.50 an hour.
Kingston General Hospital underground parking – The underground parking garage is located off of Stuart Street, directly across from the hospital and a short walk from the BioScience building.
